ARTISTIC VISION
I am interested in how stories can be experienced through movement.
They emerge from folklore and mythology, from conversations, observations, and everyday life. I collect them, reshape them, and search for the movement that allows them to be experienced in new ways.
Curiosity is at the heart of my creative process. I approach every project with the curiosity of a child—with openness, play, and a willingness to explore before searching for answers. This openness naturally leads me to work across disciplines, allowing dance, theatre, music, text, and visual elements to meet.
Whether performing or teaching, my aim is to create spaces where people feel invited to imagine, question, and connect.
BIOGRAPHY
Jovana Zajkova is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and movement educator based in North Macedonia.
She holds a BA in Contemporary Dance from Goce Delčev University and has performed internationally across Europe, the USA, and China.
Her choreographic work has been presented and recognized on international platforms, including the award-winning solo In My Shoes.
