about the monsters
that live under the bed.
They come out at night,
ready to attach if you dare to get up
and disturb them.
Some children fear them,
some are too busy
enjoying their peaceful dreams.
But have you ever wondered
where the monsters live
during the day?
I know...
They stay in my shoes.
In My Shoes explores anxiety through the lens of childhood imagination.
Ordinary shoes become monsters, companions, prisons, and protectors, revealing how fear transforms everyday objects into living characters.
Through contemporary dance, theatre, voice, and visual imagery, the work explores the tension between play and obsession, vulnerability and resilience, asking how childhood stories continue to shape us as adults.
